Dr. Álvaro Salas Castro

Dr. Álvaro Salas-Castro is an expert professor in various fields, including public-private partnerships, behavioral economics, collaborative governance, and business in emerging economies. He has over 15 years of experience in consulting, teaching, research, international business management, and intersectoral alliances. Dr. Salas-Castro specializes in impact investment and the knowledge economy.
Dr. Salas-Castro holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from Universidad Latina and a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Universidad Autónoma de Centro América. He also earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Economics, Finance, and Sustainable Development from INCAE Business School, where he was awarded the prestigious Leaders for Change Scholarship. Additionally, he possesses a Master's Degree in Public Administration with an emphasis on Science, Technology, and Infrastructure from Cornell University in New York. Cornell’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, where he completed his Ph.D. in Public Administration and Public Policy, has been ranked as the number one school in public affairs for several decades.
Dr. Salas-Castro was honored as a Presidential Fellow at the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress in Washington, DC. He was also inducted into the U.S. honor society Phi Alpha Alpha for his work in public policy. Notably, he received the Adams Award from the Cornell Institute for Public Policy, an esteemed recognition considered the highest award given by the institute.
